Simply Modern Chess Set

Project Duration : 5 weeks

Skills Used : sketching, fusion 360, woodworking and woodshop

Design Goals

Chess is a timeless game that has unique pieces that resemble. For this project, I focused on making a cohesive family of form while creating a different take on the traditional chess set.

Family of Form

I was inspired by curved modern furniture. I wanted my chess set to resemble simple furniture with lots of curves and holes.
